Is Cambodia still a poor country? Is Cambodia safe to travel to? Where is Cambodia capital? Is it easy to go to Cambodia for Vacation? do Cambodia beaches have all inclusive resorts? What does Cambodia flag mean? We’ll answer them all briefly in the post below.
We all are stressed out by this ugly virus and the situation it has made for our beautiful world, but there’s no need to sit down and think about how messed up the daily life has become, instead, let’s plan for the next fun place to treat ourselves and forget about all of this drama and its problems.
Some people in Europe and Australia may already know this small fun land but for the rest of us, let’s see what this beautiful country called Cambodia has to offer.
Recent history of Cambodia
In recent history, Cambodia was a French colony for a while, then they became independent and China offered to protect them against the Thai army that was trying to take control over Cambodia.
After that China became dominant over the country and eventually a Marxist dictator came in power which resulted in mass death of over %20 of the population but it had a happy ending!
People brought back the king and the country started to grow.
People in Cambodia
Almost everyone in Cambodia is from an ethnicity called Khmer and speak the Khmer language. They also learn to speak French and English as they go to school.
There’s a minority of Vietnamese and Chinese living in the country as well.

What to do in Cambodia
Cambodia is too cheap! Have fun
Where else can you get a 30 minutes foot massage for $1 or a full meal for less than $2?
Take advantage of the prices and have as much fun as you can.
There are a lot of bars, malls, and restaurants to make you an unforgettable experience!
The touristic side of the capital, Phnom Penh is separated from the local areas with a natural river between them. The touristic side is bright at nights and full of happy tourists hanging out while the locals’ side isn’t that bright and clean, especially at nights.

Angkor Wat in Cambodia
This Buddhist temple is the world’s biggest religious monument. They love it so much that put it in the middle of their national flag!

Buddhist culture in Cambodia
Cambodia is all about Buddhism and the arts related to it. You will witness the most beautiful Buddhist temples and statues around the country as about %98 of people are Buddhist.

Beaches in Cambodia
Cambodian islands in the Gulf of Thailand are small examples of Heaven. There are a lot of options both in islands and hotels to choose from.

Elephants in Cambodia
If you enjoy being in contact with the elephants, Cambodia is the right place to meet the friendliest Elephant experience of your life.

I’ve never been to Cambodia. It looks very beautiful. I’ll add it to my itinerary when I go to Vietnam. By the way, I nominated you for an award. Please go to my blog to see the rules and how you can participate.
These two countries make a great combination in one trip!

I was supposed to be at Cambodia and Vietnam this March and all my plans had to be cancelled because of the situation. I cannot wait to get there. There are many interesting places around Angkor Wat too.
