In this post, we will introduce to 5 countries that offer easy citizenship to foreigners.
Citizenship means having full right to live within a country (live, vote, work and study).
It also means you can apply for a passport and have the government’s protection while traveling abroad.
Most people only have one citizenship but having a second one is a brilliant idea, both for yourself and your offsprings.
Let’s see which countries are the easiest ones to get citizenship!
1-Argentina

Based on a rule in the 18th century, anyone who resides in Argentina for 2 years (Even illegally) is qualified to apply for Argentinian citizenship.
Argentinians enjoy freedom of movement in 8 other South American countries (Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay) under the Mercosur immigration agreement. The only condition is that if you’re a naturalized citizen of either of Mercosur counties, you have to wait for 5 years to be eligible.
2-Brazil

If you are planning to have a child, do it in Brazil!
By giving birth to a child in Brazil, the child is automatically a citizen and the parent(s) can apply for permanent residency. After a year of living in the country, the parents are eligible to apply for Brazilian citizenship.
Just like Argentina, Brazilians enjoy living and working legally in 8 other South American countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay) under the Mercosur immigration agreement.
3-Israel

Any person who comes from a Jewish family (Even one grandmother/grandfather) or has converted to Judaism more than 9 months ago is eligible to immigrate to Israel under the law of return. They call it “Right to Aliyah,” or the right to immigrate to Israel.
The applicants should contact an Aliyah center in their country and as soon as landing in Israel, they will receive their Israeli citizenship at the Ben Gurion Airport!
4-Canada

According to USNews, Canada is the best country in the world to live in.
There are a lot of ways to immigrate to Canada. After obtaining a Permanent residency card and living in the country 3 years in 5 years (1095 days), you are eligible to apply for Canadian citizenship.
5-Panama

Panama, a central American Paradise offers a few easy, inexpensive ways to become a naturalized citizen like “The Panama Friendly Nations Visa“. You should be the citizen in one of the 50 countries on the list (the US, Canada, most European countries, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, and Taiwan).
By obtaining this Visa, you’ll get Panamanian Permanent residency and after 5 years, you can apply for citizenship!
Cool information. I think it may have gotten more difficult to get Canadian citizenship after 2016, when US citizens began to arrive en masse.

It’s not that difficult, yet it’s becoming more time-consuming since there are tons and tons of people in the line to get their citizenship!
Thank you for your comment!

Canada seems like a breath of fresh air compared what I had to go through to get UK citizenship!

Wow! I know I read this before but it didn’t hit me then… Israel 🇮🇱… that’s really cool – I’m not Jewish at all – although my brothers DNA thing mentions like .02 percent lol … so somewhere along the line lol ✌️ (but we are Catholic so that wouldn’t work)
But that’s cool they welcome their people back if they wish ❤️ that’s kinda beautiful
Irish people are NOT like that – you may not have easy citizenship with Ireland 🇮🇪
My brother is all mad because our GREAT grandparents were first generation America on my dads fathers side – our heavy influence …
My grandfather never went for citizenship, but loved his Irish – he was happy here in America but was just REALLY Irish lol
My dad had zero interest, my dad was more business man and didn’t care about that.
But my brother wants it – we have very heavy Irish influence and our name is unmistaken 🤨✌️
But some 1986 law says our grandfather or father had to have requested citizenship by a certain date in order for my brother to be eligible
My brother just wants duel citizenship – the boy thinks he can have it all lol ✌️
He doesn’t want to give up the United States – but he wants Ireland too lol 🇮🇪❤️ He just wants to be able to travel freely or own things there maybe live there but still be able to be American lol
Whatever ✌️ he has a thing for that cause we Irish ☘️
But that is really cool with Israel – I didn’t know that. That’s kinda beautiful… allowing to return ❤️

I understand your brother’s concern because I have the same dream! To become European without having to live there. I got an ignorant grandmother who didn’t get her British citizenship while she could still apply, and now here I am, constantly thinking why I can’t get it! (I passed on from trying Phase to regretting phase after 2 years of constantly trying and educating myself! lol)

Yeah he is past the trying stage too lol… he is in the frustration stage – frustrated he can’t have it.
He pretty much can’t really do anything with that law there. As you probably know well.
He still dreams though lol ☘️✌️ he loves Ireland 🇮🇪
I do too… but ya know whatever ✌️ I can be Irish over here
