  1. I think it’s sickening how the western media likes to tarnish or put out a single image of other regions including Africa and the Middle East.

And I’m super glad that you’re changing this singular narrative. Now, I want to visit Dubai, Egypt, Israel and Iran someday. 👍

  2. I’d love to visit a few of these cities, namely Tehran, Erbil, and Cairo. Have you seen “In the Last Days of the City”? It’s about Cairo in the weeks leading up to and immediately following Egypt’s Arab spring. The middle east is a fascinating place but I worry about visiting as both a woman and American.

    1. I visited almost every corner of the Middle East and even lived in two of them for a few months. They’re nothing like what they show us on TV! I loved Iran, it was amazing, but I preferred less crowded cities, not Tehran because big cities just give me headaches! Lol!
Erbil is extremely beautiful and safe.
The only one I wouldn’t travel as a solo female traveler is Cairo, but if you visit with a group, there’s no issue.

Oh, and you won’t believe how much of respect people would show when you tell them you’re American.
They would try their English knowledge with you and would offer you a lot of free things.
Look up some videos of Westerners who traveled to each country (especially Iran, they treated us like celebrities! Lol)
I wish I recorded them too.
      Thanks for your comment! 😊
