The 10 most modern looking cities In The World

Just a few decades ago, American cities were the most modern cities in the world but that picture is rapidly changing now as a lot of other cities around that are making a reputation for themselves in the modern cities league.

In this post, we’ll talk about the 10 most modern looking cities in the world.

Singapore, Singapore

Being a former Japanese, British, and Malaysian colony, Singapore gained its independence in 1965 and blessed with one of the least-corrupted governments the entire time, the city has been transformed into the modern and shiny place it is today.

Hong Kong

Hong Kong, a former British colony is one of the most advance looking cities in the world. A fun fact behind Hong Kong’s modernity is that there isn’t enough land in the city, so the developers had to build high rises to make enough living and working space for the residents.

Tokyo, Japan

Japan’s capital is known as one of the most advanced cities in the world. Tokyo is as futuristic and modern as it could!

New York City, United States

New York City is probably one of the first cities that comes in mind when thinking of modernity. America’s largest and most populated city has gained its popularity thanks to its skyscrapers.

Dubai, UAE

Just three decades ago, Dubai was a small city where most people were fishing in the Persian Gulf and it suddenly turned the card, and now it’s so modern that millions of people travel there to enjoy its amenities.

Shanghai, China

With more than 14 million people calling it home, Shanghai is China’s most populated city as well as being one of the world’s largest cities. With economic developments during the recent decades, this metropolitan needed to make enough accommodation for its growing population.

Berlin, Germany

Only a few decades ago, with being split by two East and West Germany, Berlin was one of the weirdest countries in the world, but the only thing that’s left from that time is the Berlin wall. Now, the city is a modern-looking city that shines in Europe for its advanced technology and a thriving economy.

Johannesburg, South Africa

South Africa’s third-largest city is also one of the most modern-looking cities in Africa and the whole world. This city drew a lot of attention to itself when it hosted the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Seoul, South Korea

After the Korean war, many people migrated to Seoul from rural areas which was one of the main reasons why this city’s look became the modern city it is today.

Pyongyang, North Korea

Even though the North Korean government is one of the worst dictatorships of all time, Shiny Pyongyang is a modern city that leaves its first-time visitors in shock of its skyscrapers and skyline.

      1. Later, thinking about NYC’s skyline, I was feeling like it was truly inferior to others on your list. Then I remembered Chicago’s skyline which is truly magnificent. Whew! That restores some of my faith in the US. 😜
