Since the pandemic started, people around the world started reconnecting with mother nature in their countries instead of looking for a Sunny destination which is a positive aspect of Covid-19! The United States is blessed with countless amazing nature destinations from snow, to sand, mountain to cave, ocean to ocean! This country has enough attractions to occupy someone a few decades to visit them all!
In this post, we’ll talk about 10 awesome lake towns to visit in the United States of America.
Arnolds Park, Iowa

“City of 5 Lakes” which was always an Iowan trademark. Imagine wooden roller coasters, lemonade stands, families chilling on rented glass-bottom boats, and the smell of popcorn in the air.
Arnolds Park is back to life now! You can enjoy a lazy day on the beach with an ice-cold beer in your hand, waiting for live music to start at night!
Shasta Lake, California

After visiting Shasta Lake and its crystal clear water, if you kind of got tired of all those jet-skiing, houseboats, and fresh fishes, go visit America’s second-largest concrete dam, the 602-foot Shasta dam.
Branson, Missouri

Branson is one of those cities that people think they’re too good for, but in the end, they just don’t want to leave. You can enjoy Silver Dollar City which is home to the world’s biggest spinning roller coaster and tons of other stomach-dropping activities that would make you feel alive! If you find yourself looking for a relaxing moment, head to 150-foot Branson Ferris Wheel which offers a spectacular view.
Grand Marais, Minnesota

Ok, you can’t swim in the lake even in summer, but you’re not going there just for swimming, are you? Grand Marais is perfect for canoeing, hiking, fishing, camping, rock climbing, and even birdwatching.
Bigfork, Montana

Although Montana is frozen during winter, the whole state comes to life during summer. In Bigfork, you can go fishing, hiking, or simply attend the Bigfork Festival of the Arts, and the Bigfork Summer Playhouse from May to September.
Put-in-Bay, Ohio

This small city is home to Splash Bar at the Islander Inn which is the world’s longest swim-up bar, and Crystal Cave, the world’s largest geode in which you should climb down 100 stone stairs to see the beauty of this place. You can also camp beside the water at South Bass Island State Park.
Lake Geneva, Wisconsin

Perhaps Chicagoans and Milwaukeeans have a very good reason for occupying Lake Geneva all summer long! With its stunning beaches, amazing food and drinks, and a 23-mile lakeshore path to walk, Lake Geneva should be in your bucket list!
Rangeley, Maine

Visit Rangeley during summer to see heaven with your own two eyes! You can go kayaking, camping, enjoying its amazing seafood restaurants, and visiting its antique shops. I mean, what else can one ask for? Umm, golfing? Mingo Springs golf course is calling!
Grand Lake, Colorado

Grand Lake would offer you a great beer, blue water surrounded by snowy mountains, and a one of a kind downtown that would take you back in time to 1881 when the city was established.
Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Lake Havasu City is great for those who like to P-A-R-T-Y! (Did you read that loud too? lol). This city has great restaurants, awesome bars, and casinos to keep the fun ball rolling all day long! The best part about the Lake Havasu City is the lake itself, especially if you visit it during summertime when you’d flame up if you don’t jump into the lake to cool down!

It’s so much fun! I feel that feeling when the ferris wheel comes down after the drop from up top. I always go on them at fairs.
