This country is made up of two major islands, São Tomé which is the major one that has the capital in it and Príncipe which is the smaller one.
São Tomé and Príncipe has an equatorial climate, hot and humid. It is a country with a multiplicity of microclimates, defined mainly in terms of rainfall, temperature, and location.

There is no record of human on the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe before 1470, and the historical marks give the Portuguese João de Santarém and Pêro Escobar the title of discoverers of the Islands. Portuguese navigators explored the islands and were like, “It’s a cool place to use both for military and agriculture!” Then they brought African slaves to the islands to plant cocoa and sugarcane.
