In recent history, Cambodia was a French colony for a while, then they became independent and China offered to protect them against the Thai army that was trying to take control over Cambodia.

After that China became dominant over the country and eventually a Marxist dictator came in power which resulted in mass death of over %20 of the population but it had a happy ending!
People brought back the king and the country started to grow.

Almost everyone in Cambodia is from an ethnicity called Khmer and speak the Khmer language. They also learn to speak French and English as they go to school.

There’s a minority of Vietnamese and Chinese living in the country as well.

Take advantage of the prices and have as much fun as you can.

There are a lot of bars, malls, and restaurants to make you an unforgettable experience!

The touristic side of the capital, Phnom Penh is separated from the local areas with a natural river between them. The touristic side is bright at nights and full of happy tourists hanging out while the locals’ side isn’t that bright and clean, especially at nights.

  3. I was supposed to be at Cambodia and Vietnam this March and all my plans had to be cancelled because of the situation. I cannot wait to get there. There are many interesting places around Angkor Wat too.
